Regional Division Seven’s law enforcement agencies are currently engaged in an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death of an as-yet unidentified man. The lifeless body was discovered on the parapet of 4th Avenue in Bartica today, on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
The individual, hailing from Amerindian descent, was found in this location by a 44-year-old taxi driver at approximately 6:00 AM. Swiftly recognizing the gravity of the situation, the taxi driver reported the discovery to the local police authorities.
In response to the report, Police detectives promptly visited the scene of the incident. There, they encountered the deceased man’s body, dressed in a purple jersey and black pants, complete with long boots. The man was found lying face down.
The scene underwent a meticulous processing, with careful attention paid to examining the body. Notably, no signs of external violence were apparent.
In the interest of gathering more information and insights into the cause of death, the man’s body was transported to the Bartica Regional Hospital. Here, an attending physician officially pronounced the man deceased. Further investigative measures, including a post-mortem examination, are scheduled to be conducted.
