Police in Regional Division Five have detained two men following the discovery of a significant quantity of cannabis in a parked vehicle along Harmony Hall Public Road on Tuesday night.

At about 9:18 PM, ranks observed a car stopped along the roadway and approached the occupants—a 26-year-old gold miner and a 30-year-old nursing assistant.
A search of the men and their vehicle uncovered three garbage bags in the trunk containing seven compressed parcels of suspected cannabis.
The seized substance weighed a total of 30.625 kilograms. Both men were arrested and taken to the Mahaicony Police Station, where they remain in custody as investigations continue.
