Triumph Farmer Remanded on Narcotics Charges

Terrence Stewart, popularly known as ‘Rasta Man,’ a 45-year-old farmer from Triumph, East Coast Demerara, was apprehended on November 9, 2023, and subsequently charged on November 14, 2023. The charges, two counts of Possession of Narcotics for the Purpose of Trafficking, were brought against him by the Beterverwagting Police Station.
Stewart, appearing before Magistrate George at Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court #2, entered a plea of not guilty to both charges. The magistrate remanded him to prison, scheduling the next hearing for December 23, 2023. The legal proceedings will continue as the case unfolds.
