Tragic End for Shooting Victim as Ashmin Mahadeo Succumbs to Injuries

Ashmin Mahadeo, the 32-year-old woman who fell victim to an alleged shooting incident by her fiancé Neil Madramootoo on October 1, 2023, has tragically succumbed to her injuries. Her brother, Naresh Mahdeo, confirmed her passing moments ago at the New Amsterdam Regional Hospital.
Ashmin had been in critical condition since the incident, receiving medical care at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation. However, her condition did not improve, leading to her recent transfer back to the New Amsterdam Regional Hospital.
Neil Madramootoo, residing in Shoe Lane, New Amsterdam, had been granted bail for $500,000 last month when he faced an attempted murder charge in the New Amsterdam Magistrates’ Court. With Ashmin Mahadeo’s passing, authorities have indicated that Neil Madramootoo will face further charges, now for murder, adding another layer of gravity to this tragic incident.
