In a proactive initiative, Senior Superintendent K. Mandall, Commander of Regional Division #8, alongside Deputy Commander Superintendent M. Taylor, spearheaded a comprehensive Subdivision Inspection, complemented by an instructive training session, targeting the dedicated ranks stationed within the expansive confines of Regional Police Division Region #8 (#2 Sub Division). The meticulous inspection took place yesterday (Saturday) at the Regional Headquarters and the precincts of Mahdia Police Station. This concerted effort was meticulously executed to prepare for the impending inspection by the Commissioner of Police & ELT, slated for the 23rd of September, 2023.
Following the in-depth assessment, Commander Mandall and Deputy Commander Taylor extended commendations for the commendable aspects observed among the ranks, while also casting light on areas warranting enhancement. The constructive feedback encompassed a range of considerations, including:
Uniform Upgrades: Urgent attention to the procurement of new uniforms for ranks on parade.
Grooming Standards: The imperative necessity for impeccably groomed appearances among all ranks.
Environmental Aesthetics: An earnest call to clear station compounds of debris and clutter.
Infrastructure Maintenance: An emphasis on pressure washing and repainting Police Station buildings.

Multilingual Communication: Implementation of welcome signs at stations in English, Spanish, or Portuguese as pertinent.
Premises Purity: A concerted endeavor to ensure the cleanliness of the outer perimeter of station compounds.
Symbolic Representation: The installation of new National and Regional Police flags across all stations and outposts, coupled with a meticulous restoration of flag poles.
As the Region #8 authorities align efforts to fortify the Police Division’s operational and visual facets, these constructive evaluations stand as stepping stones toward a more efficient and vibrant police presence within the region.
