Security Guard Faces Serious Charges: Robbery with Violence and Unlawful Wounding

In a shocking turn of events, Mark Allen, a 31-year-old security guard residing at lot 73 Friendship, East Coast Demerara, has been arrested and charged with grave offenses. The charges include Robbery with Violence, as stipulated in section 222 of the Criminal Law Offences Act Chapter 8:01, and Unlawful Wounding, in violation of section 50 of the same act.
Appearing before Her Worship Magistrate F Azore at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court #1, Allen pleaded not guilty to the charges. The magistrate set his bail at $25,000 for the charge of Unlawful Wounding and $50,000 for the Robbery with Violence allegation.
The accused is now on bail as the case has been adjourned to January 15, 2024, for the submission of statements and reports.
