In a testament to resilience, premature twins, Sura and Kris-Ann, born at 32 weeks on June 8th, 2023, are not just surviving but thriving against the odds. Weighing 1.9kg and 1.3kg respectively, the neonates spent three weeks in Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), overcoming respiratory challenges and infections.

Their mother, a first-time mom and healthcare worker, faced high-risk complications leading to a premature emergency c-section at 31 weeks. Supported by family, the twins transitioned from NICU dependence, now rolling over, maintaining eye contact, and cooing.
Georgetown Public Hospital’s dedicated care, including addressing anemia and hernia, contributed to the twins’ remarkable development. Today, Sura and Kris-Ann stand as a testament to the importance of medical expertise and family support in overcoming NICU challenges.
