In a heartwarming display of community support, the Men On Mission team from Regional Police Division 4’C’ stepped forward to aid Mr. Kaioum Hamid, a 44-year-old resident of Block 12 Non-Pareil, East Coast Demerara. The initiative, under the direction of Assistant Commissioner Khali Pareshram, presented building supplies to help replace Mr. Hamid’s roof, which has been continuously leaking during rain.
Mr. Kaioum Hamid, currently grappling with a brain tumor, has undergone seven surgeries in the past three years and six months. With no employed members in his household and a child to send to school daily, Mr. Hamid relies heavily on the support of friends and family.
The Men On Mission initiative, conceived by His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, seeks to bring about positive change in every society and make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals across Guyana. The materials donated to Mr. Hamid include 350 ft 1×6, forty (40) 13-ft Zinc Sheets, two 20 ft resin, three gallons of roof paint, and 4 cups 2-inch screws, all generously contributed by stakeholders within the Police Division.
Expressing his deep appreciation, Mr. Hamid conveyed his gratitude to Commander Khali Pareshram and the entire Men On Mission team for their benevolent gesture. The donated materials will pave the way for the commencement of roof construction on Sunday, November 26, 2023. The construction efforts will be carried out by the Men On Mission Civilian Members from the Buxton/Foulis area, exemplifying the initiative’s commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need within the community.
This collaborative effort showcases the compassionate side of law enforcement, demonstrating the power of community engagement and solidarity in addressing the challenges faced by individuals like Mr. Kaioum Hamid.
