A laborer charged for Simple Larceny sentenced to 12 months imprisonment
Jason Gansham Ally, a 27-year-old Labourer of Lima Sands, Essequibo Coast, was charged yesterday with the offence of Simple Larceny committed on Bibi Gafooran Salim, 71-year-old Pensioner of Lima Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast.
The incident occurred on the 14th of July, 2023 at Salim’s home.
The defendant appeared virtually from prison yesterday at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Esther Sam
Two witnesses testified. Magistrate Sam found the defendant guilty of the charge, and he was sentenced to twelve months imprisonment.
