Investigation Underway as Woman’s Lifeless Body, Stabbed 10 Times, Discovered on West Coast Berbice

In a harrowing incident, the lifeless body of Daniele Charles, a 48-year-old laborer from Number 30 Village, West Coast Berbice, was discovered with ten stab wounds. Police in Region Five are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her tragic death.

At approximately 12:10 hours on Sunday, authorities received a call from an unidentified person reporting the sighting of a female body at Experiment, New Housing Scheme. Upon reaching the location, police found Daniele’s nude body in a clump of bushes. Her head faced south, her feet north, and her face upwards.

Near the body, a multi-colored top with suspected bloodstains, 3/4-hard pants, a bra, and underwear were discovered. The pants, bra, and underwear had been cut open. An unsettling scene unfolded as a used condom and wrapper were found next to the victim’s feet, along with wrapped-up tissues between her legs.

The crime scene was meticulously processed, and the items collected were sealed in evidence bags. Upon examination, Daniele’s body revealed six stab wounds to the abdomen, one to the left side breast, two to the throat, and one to the center of the chest.

The deceased’s body awaits an autopsy at Bailey’s Funeral Parlour. Investigations revealed that on Saturday around 20:00 hrs, Daniele was socializing at Level Up Bar in Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice, with relatives and friends. Later, her relatives left, leaving her in the company of a male and female friend.

Her son, Yeukini Joseph, recounted receiving a call from his mother at about 3:23 hours on Sunday, during which she asked about his well-being. The background was quiet, and the call abruptly disconnected. Subsequent attempts to reach her went to voicemail. The circumstances surrounding Daniele Charles’s tragic demise are now the focus of an ongoing police investigation.
