As the holiday season approaches, the Guyana Police Force’s Traffic Department gathered for a heartwarming Christmas Luncheon at the Officers’ Mess Annexe to recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of its ranks throughout the past year.

The simple yet meaningful ‘get together’ provided an opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of the traffic department, with ranks receiving recognition and honors for their tireless efforts. Bishop Patrick Findlay, Head of the Police Service Commission, commenced the luncheon with a prayer, setting a positive and grateful tone for the event.
Customarily, the Force rewards its ranks through various means, including monetary rewards and commendations. Traffic Chief, Senior Superintendent Mahendra Singh, expressed his overwhelming pride in indicating that all ranks under his command have displayed potential for upward mobility. Despite the challenges faced throughout the year, the ranks will receive incentives and awards for their hard work and dedication. Singh encouraged them to maintain professionalism and cultivate a sense of camaraderie.
Traffic Chief applauded the ranks for their relentless support to the Force and the citizens of Guyana, recognizing their crucial role in ensuring road safety. Deputy Commissioner Calvin Brutus urged the Traffic ranks to remain committed to making the roadways safer, minimizing congestion, and fostering a secure environment. On behalf of the GPF Administration, Brutus extended best wishes to all Traffic Ranks as the festive season approaches.
Deputy Commissioner Ravindradat Budhram praised the traffic cops for their hard work and commitment, acknowledging the long and challenging hours they endure daily. He also extended holiday wishes to the traffic department, recognizing their dedication to duty.
In a heartwarming conclusion to the event, the Officers in Khaki, symbolizing the leadership, served the Junior ranks with smiles, expressing appreciation for their outstanding work over the past years. The luncheon served not only as a celebration of achievements but also as a moment of camaraderie and appreciation within the ranks of the Traffic Department.
