Alvin and Trisha, residents of Good Hope, Essequibo Coast, faced the daily struggle of odd jobs to sustain themselves and their 7-year-old child. Their humble abode, a shack made of zinc sheets, offered minimal comfort with a ground mattress for sleeping. Depending on sporadic work calls for their livelihood, the couple, Trisha a domestic worker and Alvin a laborer, struggled to make ends meet without the means to save for a proper home.
A turning point arrived when businessman Mr. A Mohamed stepped forward, presenting the family with a newly constructed house. The two-bedroom dwelling, complete with a kitchen area and living room space, was a welcomed relief for the couple.
Mr. Mohamed personally handed over the keys during his visit to the Essequibo Coast on Tuesday. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Alvin and Trisha expressed their heartfelt thanks, acknowledging the positive transformation in their lives. The new home undoubtedly brings much-needed comfort and stability to the deserving family.
