Deputy Commander Dufu Leads Police in Community Outreach Initiative at Hope Estate

Yesterday, Deputy Commander of Regional Division 4’C’, Deputy Superintendent J. Dufu, spearheaded a community outreach effort in the Hope Estate area of East Coast Demerara. The initiative aimed to foster a closer connection between the police force and residents, providing a platform for open dialogue to address community concerns and collaboratively devise effective solutions.

Deputy Superintendent Alonzo, Assistant Superintendent Primus, and Sergeant Goodridge were among the committed officers who joined Deputy Superintendent J. Dufu. Additionally, the team included Mrs. Zabeeda Osman, Liaison Officer attached to the Ministry of Home Affairs, and representatives from the Cops and Faith Network. The Chairman and members of the Hope Estate Community Policing Group were also present to contribute to the dialogue.

During the interaction, residents had the opportunity to voice their concerns and raise various issues. The officers actively engaged with the community, demonstrating a commitment to understanding and addressing the needs of the residents. Prompt responses were provided to concerns, reflecting the police force’s dedication to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all.

The residents expressed appreciation for the timely visit by Deputy Commander Dufu and the accompanying team. Special commendation was also extended to the members of the Hope Estate Community Policing Group for their continuous efforts in ensuring the safety of the community. The collaborative approach between law enforcement and the community was acknowledged as a positive step towards building trust and fostering a sense of security among residents.
