Commander Pareshram Supports BV/Triumph Inter-Block Football Competition, Fostering Community Partnerships

In a heartwarming display of community engagement, Regional Commander 4’C’, Assistant Commissioner Khali Pareshram, made a significant contribution to the BV/Triumph Inter-Block Football Competition. This initiative is aimed at enhancing partnerships and promoting sports in the Beterverwagting community.
Earlier this afternoon, Commander Pareshram donated ten (10) footballs to Team Cruel and DJ Darry, a dynamic group of young leaders who have been diligently coordinating the Inter-Block Football Competition in Beterverwagting. The competition, taking place every Friday at the Beterverwagting Community Centre Ground, East Coast Demerara, has provided a platform for local residents to showcase their skills in both Youth and Veteran categories.
The donation was officially received by DJ Darry, Jerome Harrigan, and Sharmar Fraser. Commander Pareshram commended the team for their discipline and community-oriented efforts, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with the Police Division to ensure a brighter future for the youth. He directed the custodians to use the donated footballs purposefully and take good care of them.
Jerome Harrigan expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the timely donation, as it will be instrumental in the highly anticipated Semi-Final taking place later tonight and the Finals scheduled for November 3, 2023.
This heartwarming gesture highlights the power of sports in fostering community partnerships and providing positive avenues for youth engagement.
