Acting on information received, Police ranks went to the Inner Retreat Hotel at Parika, East Bank Essequibo, at about 13:15 hrs today where a man was seen acting in a suspicious manner, with a black haversack in his hand.
As a result, Police conducted a search on his person and the haversack, in which there were two (2) black plastic bags, one containing a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be Cannabis and several ziploc bags containing leaves, seeds and stems also suspected to be Cannabis.
