Police Discover 22,700 Grams of Marijuana in Regional Division #5

During a mobile patrol operation in the Blairmont Station District around 23:30 hrs on Friday night, police officers from Regional Division #5 uncovered twenty-two thousand, seven hundred grams of suspected marijuana.

While patrolling near the Rosignol Stelling area, the officers observed two unidentified individuals behaving suspiciously around the ‘Cabbage Factory’ koker. Upon noticing the police presence, the individuals fled in different directions and disappeared into the bushes. Alongside the koker, an aluminum boat equipped with a 15 hp outboard engine was found by the police.

A search of the boat revealed five parcels wrapped in transparent plastic, suspected to contain cannabis. The officers confiscated the suspected narcotics, boat, and engine, which were then transported and secured at the Blairmont Police Station.
The parcels, believed to contain cannabis, were weighed and totaled 50 lbs . The confiscated narcotics were appropriately sealed and lodged as evidence, while investigations into the incident are ongoing.
