In a proactive effort to connect with the community and address local concerns, Woman Assistant Superintendent D. Handy, the Officer in charge of Wales Police Station, along with her team, conducted a Community Outreach at Clay Brick Road in Canal #2 Polder, West Bank Demerara on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, between 15:00 and 16:50 hrs.

During this outreach, the police team engaged with several residents of the area who shared their concerns, including:
Noise Nuisance
Youths Ganging Up at Street Corners
Desire for Increased Police Presence During the Night
Assistant Superintendent D. Handy addressed all of these concerns, and the responses were satisfactory and well-received by the local residents. The residents expressed their gratitude to the police officers for reaching out to their neighborhood and appreciated their professionalism when handling community reports.
In a show of unity, the residents pledged to continue working in partnership with the police to create a safer and more secure environment in their community.
