Garnett Street Vendor Apprehended for Possession of Unlicensed Firearm.

On the afternoon of the previous day at approximately 5:00 PM, responding to received intelligence, police personnel proceeded to Lot 211 Garnett Street, Kitty. Here, they encountered Lawrence Pollard, a 50-year-old clothing vendor residing at the aforementioned address, who was present in the yard.

Following a thorough search of his person, authorities discovered a suspected .32 Pistol concealed in his pants pocket, complete with a magazine containing five (5) live rounds of .32 Ammunition. When questioned about possessing a firearm license, Lawrence Pollard replied in the negative. Subsequently, he was informed of the offenses he had committed, apprehended, and given the appropriate cautionary statements.

Pollard asserted that he had come across the firearm in a drain some time ago. He was then escorted to the Kitty Police Station, where the firearm and ammunition were appropriately documented, sealed, and earmarked for transfer to the ballistic section for further examination.

Lawrence Pollard has been taken into custody and is scheduled to face charges related to this incident.
