New Vigilance Magistrate’s Court commissioned

A new Vigilance Magistrate’s Court was today commissioned by Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Mohabir Anil Nandlall, SC.

The building, which costs some โ‚ฌ270.24 million, features two court rooms, living quarters, drug treatment department and a domestic violence room.The court will also feature a modern digital payment system for bail and other fees through Mobile Money Guyana (MMG).This forms part of the transformation of the justice sector in Guyana and is expected to serve the staff and people of the East Coast Demerara more efficiently.
