18-Year-Old Assaulted by Man with Cutlass in Kuru Kururu Incident”

In a distressing incident, an 18-year-old man, Akeel Emanuel Noel, fell victim to an alleged assault by a man wielding a cutlass in Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke-Linden Highway. The incident occurred at 4:59 hours, leaving the young man injured.
According to reports from the victim’s sister, the altercation began when a neighbor visited their home inquiring about her brother. The mother, Monica Ceasar, informed the neighbor that her son was not at home, prompting the neighbor to make ominous statements about the family.
Allegedly, the neighbor threatened Ceasar, stating that she would “cry for her sons.” Responding to the threat, Ceasar asserted that the neighbor could not harm her sons. Subsequently, the neighbor, accompanied by a group of young men, approached Ceasar and the 18-year-old Noel with a cutlass.
Noel, in an attempt to protect his mother, confronted the group, expressing that they could not harm his family. However, the situation escalated, leading to the neighbor attacking Noel with the cutlass.
The incident has been reported to the police, who are expected to investigate the matter further. The motive behind the assault and the nature of injuries sustained by the victim remain key aspects of the ongoing investigation.
